  2. Welcome, Jane! And thank you! I'm so blessed to have people interested in any thing I have to say! I so appreciate Rhoda for the opportunity to share my heart. My blog is still developing and I need help with some technical matters like posting some articles that were published in magazines. Your comments are such an encouragement to me! Thank you again! 3. Vicki, I also was first introduced to you on Rhoda's blog, I love your clothes style and must find a hat like you're wearing! Stylish and also practical for our hot Texas summers. Keep sharing your heart. I enjoy your blog!

  4. Hello Sandy! Thanks for dropping by my blog. You may have read my blog post about our road trip to San Antonio from Atlanta, a quick 2400 miles in 6 days! But our son did most of the driving and it was just me, my husband and our son in our Excursion so we were comfortable. We loved San Antonio! My last trip to Texas was in 1968 with my family driving across Texas from Arizona to Georgia in a car without A/C! Those were the days! I so appreciate you saying hello! Enjoy the rest of your Texas summer! Vicki

  5. Hi Vicki, You looked so beautiful in all of your outfits! I really like your style. I am about your age and need to get serious about weight loss. Like you, it is beginning to affect my health. I looked at the website via the link and wondered why you chose this plan. I am a Jesus follower so I appreciate the spiritual encouragement. I need some accountability and motivation. Kim

  6. Hi Kim and thank you for your encouraging comment. I have used Weight Watchers with success in the past but after turning 50, I didn't lose as well with them. I think I didn't manage the freedom of choices well being older and my metabolism changing, etc... Two of my friends have had great success with WW this year. I knew several people who had lost a lot of weight with Shibboleth and the annual membership fee wasn't much so I thought "I have nothing to lose by trying it!" With Shibboleth, you lose weight fast, which was very encouraging to me and motivated me to keep on! . I lost 19 pounds in 6 weeks in August 2012 on the Shibboleth plan but my mom had surgery that dramatically progressed her Alzheimer's requiring us to move her, against her will, to an AL. That was harder than burying my daddy. All that to say, the stress of that, plus January the next year, I broke my wrist, had surgery, etc...I just could not get a grip! I rejoined Shibboleth, received emails and was part of Facebook group, but I I could not develop the self discipline to work the plan. This time I think I was successful because of God's touch, as I mentioned, along with the timing of my desperation combined with Shibboleth announcing an opportunity for anyone who had success on plan before but relapsed and gained weight, to send in their story. I did, and was accepted into the group with a Shibboleth plan designed just for us. Because we already knew the basics of the plan, we focused on behavior modification. That plan was called Relapsed to Reloaded and the core group is still in touch with each other on a Facebook group. The Reloaded plan is just a more intense version of the basic plan. Now there is a 21 Days, 21 Foods, 21 Pounds group going on with similar support and components. I advise anyone interested to begin with the Shibboleth basic plan. When you become a member you will receive a Welcome Kit that provides a menu, food lists, etc....The first week or two offers fewer choices to help you focus on the plan components. I lost 8 pounds the first week in 2012 and 2018! Some discount such a loss the first week as water weight, but ridding your body of toxins, etc...with water, is important for your liver to work properly. I had not been taught the science of why and how our body burns fat and how if you eat properly for 2 days, your body begins efficient fat burning. The longer you stay in efficient fat burning, the faster you lose weight. The plan offers lots of motivation and accountability! You can have as much of that as you want. I listen to videos while walking and participate in webinars frequently. In 2012 I attended classes at the center, but this time I have worked plan solely on line! The current membership is $50 or $100 for an entire year! I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to ask me anything! God bless you on your pursuit of life more abundantly! Vicki
